Frequently asked questions
Answers about buyer approval, private catalogue access, suppliers, and using Peridot.
What is Peridot?
Peridot is a global B2B jewellery marketplace where professional buyers can discover products from approved suppliers, manage sourcing conversations, and access private trade inventory in one place.
Why use Peridot?
Peridot is designed to make jewellery sourcing faster and more transparent. Buyers can search across product categories, review supplier listings, request pricing, negotiate, and manage opportunities without relying on scattered catalogues and message threads.
Who can register as a buyer?
Peridot is intended for professional jewellery buyers and businesses. Buyer applications are reviewed before full trade access is granted.
Why are some products blurred?
Some suppliers choose to share full photography, pricing, specifications, or supplier details only with vetted buyers. Public products remain fully visible, while restricted listings become available after buyer approval and sign-in.
What do the different visibility levels mean?
Public products can be viewed by anyone. Vetted Buyers Only products are fully visible to approved buyers. Selected Customers Only products are shared only with approved buyers whose email address or seller-managed customer group has been granted access.
What types of products can I find on Peridot?
Peridot supports finished jewellery, diamonds, coloured stones, pearls, vintage and signed pieces, and other professional jewellery inventory. Availability depends on the suppliers currently listing on the platform.
Am I buying from Peridot or from the supplier?
Products are supplied by the seller shown on the listing. Peridot provides the marketplace tools and support that help buyers and suppliers communicate, negotiate, and progress an order.
How are suppliers reviewed?
Supplier applications are reviewed before seller access is approved. Buyers should also review listing information, certificates, terms, and supplier-provided details before committing to an order.
How do I request pricing or contact a supplier?
Where enabled, use the request-price, negotiation, or inquiry tools on the product page. Some actions are available only after buyer approval.
